Es wundert einem kaum das Darius Ferdynand in der Pornoszene schnell aufgestiegen ist. Nicht nur sein durchtrainiertes Model-Aussehen oder sein besonderes Stehvermögen beeindrucken. Es ist vor allem sein Charisma, seine Offenheit und seine Einstellungen den Dingen gegenüber die allen gängingen Klischees der Szene umgeht.

Information: Dies war ein unangenehmes Interview. Darius Ferdynand hatte den Wunsch geäußert, ein spezielles Foto von ihm zu verwenden. Leider erreichte uns dieses Foto nicht, und daher mussten wir auf ein Archivbild zurückgreifen. Da er auch nicht mehr erreichbar war, war diese Entscheidung notwendig. Als Darius das Ergebnis später sah, reagierte er enttäuscht, respektlos und äußerte beleidigende Kommentare („Behinderte Sau“), anstatt die Problematik zuvor zu klären. OBZ: Congratulations! They have made a name in the gay scene and have also earned it. Meanwhile turn international. How do you cope with the success?
FERDYNAND: My life is not that different, since when I got ,,well-known“.  I get recognised sometimes and my scene rate got a bit higher, but except these I have a very normal life. You know, work, workout, travel, family, friends.

OBZ: What is your normal day like? A shooting Day?
FERDYNAND: A normal shooting day starts with the glamour pics, then the hard on ones. Sex pics, video, cumshot. Nice and easy with professional crew and friendly partners.

OBZ: Do they also direct themselves?
FERDYNAND: You mean the models? Yes, or at least I do. It’s good to see yourself from both sides of the camera.

OBZ: Does your work affect your normal day life? What do your friends think of you?
FERDYNAND: Unfortunately not everyone is thrilled to hang out with a pornstar, so I try to pick my friends wisely. My carrier should not affect my private life, although it’s so much more difficult in a relationship. Friendships are more supportive.

OBZ: How did you get this job?
FERDYNAND: I applied, like everyone else. I gave it a go once, and enjoyed and they want more, so why not?

OBZ: You must get a lot of fan mail. Do you read and answer them? Is it important for you to keep your porn image, or are you a totally different person off set?
FERDYNAND: I used to reply and have having an actual conversation with my fans. These days unfortunately I have very limited time.

OBZ: Have you ever had a problem with your libido while shooting a porn?
FERDYNAND: No, not really. It happened I was not into my partner though, but you gotta find something attractive in most of them.

OBZ: Don’t you have any fear of contracting sexually transmitted diseases?
FERDYNAND: No, I don’t don’t. I try to be as careful as possible, but if you have sexual life, than you have to deal with STD’s too sometimes. Just because I do porn, doesn’t mean I’m in higher risk than others. In fact, the adult models have tested more frequently than others, so I’m actually safer than others.

OBZ: What is the most embarassing thing that happened to you on set?
FERDYNAND: Once I was shooting 3days in a row and on the last day I could not provide a significant cumshot, It was almost like the last breath of a dead person…haha. It was pathetic and quite embarrassing.

OBZ: Does a porn actor like you have other dreams and goals?
FERDYNAND: Yeah, of course. Like generally I have a very normal dream, you know, have kids, a partner I can count on, house, pool..etc. And I have a bit more ambitious goals, like get a role in a big Hollywood movie, writing a book or have my own designer brand and perfume.

OBZ: Is it easy to become a porn actor?
FERDYNAND: It is easy to make your debut in your first sex scene, but to keep it up it’s difficult. You really have to commit with what you do and never forget why you’re doing it.

OBZ: Do you think that as an pornactor you should as well do other things, than to just concentrate yourself on acting? And why should you do that? Are you doing other things apart from pornacting? Direction, Go-Go-Dancing, Movies producing.
FERDYNAND: You only have to do what you really want to! If it’s directing, hosting parties or go-go dancing, then that, but these are all optional. There’s no pressure to do anything that you don’t feel like to do. Like I’ve never done live sex shows or bareback porn. Doesn’t mean I have a problem with it, it just a bit out of my comfort zone. Not ready for that, but I know models they really enjoy that, so why not?

OBZ: Do you have any idols? Who are they?
FERDYNAND: I am a good friend of Trenton Ducati and Chi Chi Larue. I find their work very impressive and have lots of respect for them.

OBZ: Imagine you have the possiblity to thank all your friends, your family and the people who are important to you in your life, what would you tell them?
FERDYNAND: Thank you for being there for me when others turned their head away from me! Thank you for all the support and faith in me! I hope I can pay back all the love, attention and care one day.

OBZ: What are your plans for the future?
FERDYNAND: Own production, own website, lots of travels and more filming.
