Der ehemalige Pornodarsteller Rocco Reed, geboren am 26. Juli 1982 in Long Beach, Kalifornien, stand 2008 für dieses Interview zur Verfügung. Wenige Jahre später (2013) zog er einen konsequenten Schlussstrich unter seine Karriere in der Erwachsenenfilmbranche. Unter seinem bürgerlichen Namen Joshua Broome fand er einen neuen Lebensweg: Heute ist er verheiratet, Vater und als Pastor in der Good News Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa tätig.

INTERVIEW!
OBZ: You shoot porn movies. What is your normal day like?
ROCCO: Yes I am an adult actor. Well I work at least 4 or 5 days a week sometimes every day. I wake up drink a protein shake, then head to the gym. I workout, hit the steam room, then come home shower and get ready for my shoot. I don’t go out much nor do I drink or do drugs, I try to stay focused on my career.

OBZ: Does your work affect your normal day life? What do your friends think of you?
ROCCO: I am very proud of my career and I don’t try to hide it from anyone. I workout, play in a basketball league with a couple of friends, and hang out with my friends. I am a honest easy going person so I have a lot friends and they know I am who I am so they accept me or don’t.

OBZ: How did you get this job?
ROCCO: I started main stream modeling and did a few nude photo shoots, so through those connections and a friend who was already in the business introduce me to my now agent who is amazing and I owe everything to….. Derek Hay.

OBZ: You must get a lot of fan mail. Do you read and answer them? Is it important for you to keep your porn image, or are you a totally different person off set?
ROCCO: I do get a ton of fan mail from all different types of people. I answer every single email I receive because I truly am blessed to have fans and be in the position I am in. I am not Rocco Reed the pornstar on or off set I am the same person 100 per cent of the time.

OBZ: Have you ever had a problem with your libido while shooting a porn?
ROCCO: No I have never had a problem, I am young 25 so its no something I have to worry about now. I eat very healthy and excercise to reduce the chance of failure with my libido. I have been lucky thus far and I hope for continued success.

OBZ: Don’t you have any fear of contracting sexually transmitted diseases?
ROCCO: There are chances of getting STD’s in the industry. But everyone in the industry is required to have a full test every 30 days from AIM Health Care and must have a current clean test on set that day to work. So how many random people get tested every three weeks, not many.. so I feel pretty safe.

OBZ: What is the most embarassing thing that happened to you on set?
ROCCO: I was standing on a bed recieving oral and my foot slipped and went into the 3 million home’s wall the company was renting for the day….. YIKES!!!!

OBZ: What is the best experience you ever had (generally)?
ROCCO: I assume you mean in my porn career. The best experience thus far has been shooting my first feature for Penthouse, a scene with Rebecca Linares and Angelina Valentine…the movie will be coming out soon its called „Layover“.

OBZ: Does a porn actor like you have other dreams and goals?
ROCCO: Well I recently started working on my website, you can check it out www. roccoreed. com, and I own a production company Rock Canyon Films which I have current projects I am working on.

OBZ: Is it easy to become a porn actor?
ROCCO: Absolutely not. For a girl its not that hard to get an opportunity, but just for a chance for a guy you almost have to know someone. Then the average life spam for a new porn actor is about 3 months is hard to deal with the lifestyle, money, and maintain performance.

OBZ: What are your plans for the future?
ROCCO: Well my goal for this year is to win Best Male New Comer at AVN in January of 09. I will continue working as hard as I can to be the best adult star I can be and hope to work for many new companies along with making lots of movies for my fans to enjoy.
