Wenn Musik mehr ist als bloße Unterhaltung – wenn sie Gefühle greifbar macht, Erinnerungen weckt und jede Stimmung in Klang verwandelt – dann begegnet man unweigerlich der Musik von . Der am 14. Januar 1983 in Los Angeles geborene Künstler lebt und arbeitet bis heute in der pulsierenden Metropole der amerikanischen Westküste, deren kreative Energie seinen musikalischen Stil unverkennbar geprägt hat.

Brian Summers steht für Musik, die unter die Haut geht. Seine Songs begleiten Menschen durch die unterschiedlichsten Lebenslagen, mal kraftvoll und voller Energie, mal nachdenklich, emotional und tief berührend. Jeder einzelne Ton scheint mit Gefühl aufgeladen zu sein, jede Melodie erzählt ihre eigene Geschichte. Besonders seine außergewöhnlich reife und ausdrucksstarke Stimme verleiht seinen Liedern eine Intensität, die lange nachhallt.

OBZ: Schreiben sie Ihre Songs selber? Und schreiben sie über Ihr Leben?
BRIAN: Absolutely. I write all my songs and they all come from life experience. Some of those songs have gotten me throught some really tough times.

OBZ: Wie entstehen Ihre Songs?
BRIAN: They all start as a chord progression. I’ve always been fascinated by how chords work. Then I write a melody and lastly I write the lyrics to fit my melody.

OBZ: Ihre Songs handeln von Freiheit, Lebenserfahrungen und von der Liebe. Sehen sie das genauso?
BRIAN: Definately. Some of my songs end up being almost advice to myself when I’m having a hard time.

OBZ: Ihre Musik ist nicht in Deutschland erhältlich. Wie kann man sie bekommen?
BRIAN: You can buy my album on SNOCAP on my myspace.

OBZ: Spielen sie Ihre Musik immer Live? Ist Ihnen das besonders wichtig?
BRIAN: Definatly. I play out in Hollywood and Los Angeles about once a month. I really feed off of the energy of the crowd. It really inspires me to keep chasing the dream, ya know?

OBZ: Mit wem würden sie gerne mal zusammen arbeiten?
BRIAN: I’ve played shows with some great L.A. bands. It’s really been an honor to share the stage with some of them. Something Coorporate, One Republic, Under the Influence of Giants, Greg Laswell and many other fantastic bands and artists

OBZ: Was ist das wichtigste in Ihrem Leben?
BRIAN: Music, love, family, and the pursuit of self actualization

OBZ: OBZ: Waren sie schon einmal in Deutschland?
BRIAN: Not yet. Real soon I hope.

OBZ: Würde sie gerne mal bei einem deutschen Projekt mitwirken?
BRIAN: Most definitely.

OBZ: Was bedeutet für sie der Begriff Independent?
BRIAN: The way times are going, it really seems like the big labels are loosing their power and us independent artists are getting a chance to do great things and be heard all over the world. I think that is a wonderful thing!

OBZ: Was war für sie das schönste Erlebnis das sie mal mit einen Fans hatten? Oder mit einigen Fans?
BRIAN: I can’t really pinpoint one particular incedent or experience. It just feels really good to know you’ve truely communicated to someone’s soul. When I’m playing for hundreds of people and it’s dead silent. I can feel them hanging on to my every word. That is the best feeling in the world 🙂

OBZ: Ist der persönliche Kontakt zu Ihren Fans, Ihnen besonders wichtig?
BRIAN: Of corse!!

OBZ: Was möchten sie Ihren Fans sagen?
BRIAN: Thank you so much for all the love and support. It truely means the world to me.
