Der kanadische Pornodarsteller Voodoo, auch unter dem Namen VooDoo C. bekannt, zählt zu den bekanntesten Gesichtern der internationalen Erotikbranche. Der am 24. September 1977 in Toronto, Ontario, geborene Darsteller machte sich mit seiner charismatischen Ausstrahlung von 25,4 cm (laut eigenen Angaben), seinem markanten Auftreten und seiner professionellen Arbeit vor der Kamera weltweit einen Namen. Heute lebt und arbeitet er in Los Angeles, Kalifornien, dem Zentrum der amerikanischen Unterhaltungsindustrie.

Für Voodoo bedeutete der Einstieg in die Pornoindustrie weit mehr als nur beruflichen Erfolg. Wie er selbst sagt, begann mit seiner Karriere ein völlig neuer Lebensabschnitt. Dort fand er nicht nur seinen beruflichen Weg, sondern lernte auch die Frau kennen, die später seine Ehefrau werden sollte. Für ihn sind Karriere und privates Glück deshalb eng miteinander verbunden.

Über die Jahre entwickelte sich Voodoo zu einem gefragten Darsteller und arbeitete für zahlreiche namhafte Studios. Doch neben seinem Erfolg vor der Kamera schätzen Fans und Kollegen vor allem seine lebensfrohe, humorvolle und offene Art. Sein positives Auftreten und seine natürliche Ausstrahlung machten ihn zu einer beliebten Persönlichkeit innerhalb der Branche. Über seine Karriere als Pornodarsteller, sein Privatleben und seine Zukunftspläne sprach OBZ am 4. August 2008 mit Voodoo.

OBZ: What is your normal day like? A shooting?
VOODOO: I wake up in the morning, take a shower, ride my motorcycle to the
set, fill out my paper work and fuck a beautiful woman or women. Some movies
require acting. Some go straight to the fucking. Then I go home to my wife
Nicole Sheridan, she cooks me dinner, we snuggle together and go to bed.

OBZ: Does your work affect your normal day life? What do your friends think
of you?
VOODOO: Porn is my normal life. My real friends are skydivers and they love
what I do. My best friend is my wife and she is a pornstar as well.

OBZ: How did you get this job?
VOODOO: I was 19 years old traveling across America on my motorcycle. I am
from Toronto, Canada and I wanted to surf in California. When I got to
California, I had no money to get back home, so I started doing porno. I
loved it and stayed.

OBZ: You must get a lot of fan mail. Do you read and answer them? Is it
important for you to keep your porn image, or are you a totally different
person off set?
VOODOO: I do get a lot of fan mail and I do answer it all. I am the same
person off set.

OBZ: Have you ever had a problem with your libido while shooting a porn?
VOODOO: Never.

OBZ: Don’t you have any fear of contracting sexually transmitted diseases?
VOODOO: I worry about AIDS and Hepetitis.

OBZ: What is the most embarassing thing that happened to you on set?
VOODOO: I do not get embarassed.

OBZ: What is the best experience you ever had (generally)?
VOODOO: Every morning when I wake up next to my wife.

OBZ: Does a porn actor like you have other dreams and goals?
VOODOO: I am a professional skydiver as well and one day I wish to climb
Everest.

OBZ: Is it easy to become a porn actor?
VOODOO: For me it was. For others, not so much.

OBZ: Imagine you have the possiblity to thank all your friends, your family
and the people who are important to you in your life, what would you tell
them?
VOODOO: Nothing they don’t already know. My life is an open book.

OBZ: What are your plans for the future?
VOODOO: To own and operate an RV park. Do you know any investors?
