Musik kann Stimmungen einfangen, Erinnerungen wecken und selbst graue Tage in einem anderen Licht erscheinen lassen. Genau diese besondere Fähigkeit besitzt Viv Peyrat. Der am 2. Oktober 1986 in Paris geborene Musiker lebt und arbeitet heute in Philadelphia im US-Bundesstaat Pennsylvania. Mit seiner gefühlvollen Stimme und seinen einfühlsamen Kompositionen schafft er es, seine Zuhörer vom ersten Ton an in den Bann zu ziehen. Seine Songs sind mal nachdenklich und berührend, dann wieder aufmunternd und voller Wärme – Musik, die zum Träumen einlädt und in jeder Lebenslage den passenden Begleiter bietet. Ob an einem verregneten Nachmittag, bei einem entspannten Ausflug mit Freunden oder in ruhigen Momenten des Alltags: Viv Peyrats Musik schafft eine Atmosphäre, die gleichermaßen beruhigt und inspiriert. Über seinen musikalischen Werdegang, seine Inspirationen und seine Zukunftspläne sprach OBZ mit Viv Peyrat.

OBZ: Do you write your own songs?
PEYRAT: yes i write all of my own songs.

OBZ: What does your songs evolve from?
PEYRAT: from a lot of personal experiences and everything around me.

OBZ: You also write for other artists. Is the collaboration important to you?
PEYRAT: i havent written with other people for a little while but im going to again very soon, i think blending other people’s ideas with yours is extremely important, it gives the music a lot of variety.

OBZ: Is music for you a feeling of life? Do you think music should play an important role in people’s life?
PEYRAT: i think music is the universal language, and its a beautiful thing, it makes all of your emotions come out.

OBZ: Do you always play your music live? Is that important to you?
PEYRAT: i always do, i think that is what music is about, performing for people.

OBZ: With whom would you like to work together?
PEYRAT: i’d love to work with anyone who would want to work with me 🙂

OBZ: Do you have a dream project?
PEYRAT: to collaberate with eric clapton and tom petty.

OBZ: What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you? Was it on a concert? Or was it on another event?
PEYRAT: one time at a show, i knocked my mic out of the mic stand with my guitar and it almost hit someone in the face haha that was pretty embarrassing.

OBZ: Tell me about the greatest experience you had with your fans.
PEYRAT: the best experience is anytime a fan tells me that my music makes them happy, that means the world to me.

OBZ: Is it important to you to keep in contact with your fans?
PEYRAT: yea of course, your fans are what make you and i love mine.

OBZ: What is the most important thing in your life?
PEYRAT: my family, my girlfriend and my friends, and of course music.

OBZ: Imagine you had one free wish. What would you wish for?
PEYRAT: world peace.

OBZ: Have you ever been to Germany before?
PEYRAT: i have not been to Germany before.

OBZ: Imagine now you have the opportunity to thank all your friends and family. What would you say to them?
PEYRAT: thank you for all of the support and love that you guys have given me.

OBZ: What can we expect of you in the future?
PEYRAT: a lot more cds and some big tours 🙂
